Process control engineering for chemical plants

At gefeba we develop customized concepts for you and offer Basic Engineering, Process Control Engineering (PCE), and the complete structuring of your PCE equipment and its modulation.

Basic Engineering:

Chemical Industry
  • Batch concepts as per ISA-S88 in cooperation with the plant operators
  • Automation concepts for continuous operation systems
  • Creation of the necessary documentation for implementation (functional specification)
  • Migration concepts for the replacement of existing automation systems with Siemens PCS7, Emerson DeltaV, ABB Freelance
  • Creation of typicals of the individual control functions, EQM, basic functions (phases), and the corresponding graphic elements (dynamos, faceplates)

Process Control Engineering for the following system types:

  • Batch systems of differing complexity, e.g. the production of various plastics
  • Automation of continuous processes, e.g. chlorine electrolysis, plastic manufacturing
  • The project planning and commissioning of the common fieldbus systems Modbus, PROFIBUS-DP, PROFIBUS PA, Foundation Fieldbus
  • Expansion of existing PCE systems

Structuring of the entire PCE facility at the customer's site:

  • Control cabinet installation in accordance with ATEX regulations
  • FAT – optionally by means of system simulation
  • Electrical installation, including field devices
  • SAT, loop checks, commissioning
  • Creation of the as-built documentation
  • Upon request, local support of the operating system

Modularization of PCE equipment:

  • PCE container (ex zone 20) including energy supply for the system modules
